Privacy notice
Last updated 27 October 2026
This notice explains what happens to the information you give when you take The Operator's Trap Test at traptest.theiniabims.com. It is written to meet the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
Who is responsible
Dr Ini Abimbola, DBA, author of The Operator's Trap, decides how this information is used. You can reach her at inionuk@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your name, email address and, if you give it, your role or title.
- Your answers to the seven questions, your score and your result.
- Whether you ticked the box to receive updates, and when.
- How you arrived (for example, a WhatsApp or LinkedIn share link, or a team code your organisation gave you) and the country your connection came from.
We do not collect payment details, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this page.
Why we use it
- To show you your result and email you a copy. You ask for this when you submit the form.
- To send occasional updates about the book and related events, only if you tick the box. You can withdraw this at any time.
- To understand the results in aggregate, for example how many leaders land in each category. Where a team code is used, your organisation does not see your individual answers from us.
Who handles it for us
The site and its stored responses are hosted by Netlify, and result emails are sent through Resend. Both process data on our instructions, and their servers are outside Nigeria (mainly in the United States). We rely on their contractual safeguards for that transfer. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep test responses for up to 24 months after you take the test, then delete them. If you opted in to updates, we keep your name and email for that purpose until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop receiving updates. Email the address above and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).
